“Having had poor dental experiences for most of my life I became very fearful of visits to the dentist. That led to putting off appointments for years, and then only going if there was a problem. There were also many years of not having any dental insurance, which added to my procrastination. My family recently moved to the area and we heard about this office. My husband was the first to come in, and while he has a long list of work that needs to be done, he was totally impressed with everyone in the office and strongly encouraged me to make an appointment. I know that I have a lot that needs to be taken care of and have been so embarrassed and self conscious of my mouth, but I FINALLY decided to make my appointment. I was nervous, but from the first smile at the front desk I began to relax. The hygienist that took care of me never shamed me or made me feel like less of a person for not having come in sooner. Dr. Scharp was very kind and caring, but was still able to stress the importance of getting things taken care of. It may seem silly or dramatic to write such a review but I just can’t say thank you enough for changing my mind and outlook on going to the dentist. I won’t be missing my next appointment! Also, I’m so thankful that my kids will never have to have a bad dental experience like I did because of the excellent people that make this office what it is!”

“Like many others, I have had horrific dental health experiences in the past, which lead me to avoid the dentist at all costs. However, I recently chipped a front tooth, so had no choice but to make the appointment. Everyone was kind and reassuring, and perhaps most important, gentle. After the first visit, I returned the next day for x-rays and a cleaning. It was, for the most part, pain free. I will be returning for routine care as recommended, and no longer dread the appointments. If, like me, you have been reluctant to see a dentist out of fear, you can be comfortable with this practice.”
